How to Watch “Loki” Online
As you may already know, this list is destined to be a short one. We're living in the era of streaming exclusives, and “Loki” is very much a part of that world. In order to watch “Loki,” you’ll have to subscribe to the streaming service that’s backed by Disney (who owns Marvel Studios). “Loki” will join other hits, including its fellow Marvel Studios properties “WandaVision” and “The Falcon and the Winter Soldier” on Disney’s streaming platform — which brings us to the first and only item on our extremely short “list.”

See DealsDisney controls multiple streaming services, including Hulu and ESPN+. But only one Disney-backed streaming service will allow you to stream “Loki.” That one would be Disney's flagship streaming option: Disney Plus.
It’s not just “Loki,” of course. Disney Plus will be the “forever home” of all of your favorite Marvel Studios content — including some all-new originals. Disney Plus already features lots of Marvel Studios films, as well as brand-new original series like “WandaVision,” “The Falcon and the Winter Soldier,” and the as-yet-unreleased “Hawkeye.” All of this makes Disney Plus the best place to stream Marvel movies and TV shows. Marvel fans, take note!
Can I Watch “Loki” on Roku, Fire TV, Apple TV, or Chromecast?
There's nothing too tricky about watching “Loki” on your favorite streaming devices. Thanks to pretty impressive platform support, you'll almost definitely be able to watch “Loki” on your device of choice once the show premieres. Let's get into the specifics of Disney Plus' platform support.
Disney Plus offers apps for Roku, Fire TV, Android TV, and Apple TV. Disney Plus even supports casting to Google's Chromecast, as well.
Disney Plus has you covered on mobile devices, too. You can download a Disney Plus mobile app for either iOS or Android.
Disney Plus has an in-browser app, too, which will make it easy for you to stream “Loki” on your desktop or laptop computer once the show comes out.
Even video game systems are an option for folks who want to watch “Loki” online: Disney Plus offers apps for Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
When is the “Loki” release date?
Fans are thrilled that “Loki” is coming to Disney Plus, but it has certainly been a long wait! Disney Plus debuted back in the fall of 2019, but “Loki” didn’t arrive with the then-new streaming service. In fact, none of the brand-new Marvel shows did (though fans did get to enjoy “The Mandalorian,” an all-new Star Wars show).
Happily, Marvel’s originals did start appearing in the months and years that followed. And the Marvel original shows that we’ve seen so far have been really impressive: “Wandavision” was an instant hit, and “The Falcon and the Winter Soldier” has been well-received. But when is it Loki’s turn to star in his own series?
Good news: As of this writing, Loki is up next. His self-titled show is slated to arrive this summer. “Loki” will debut on June 9, 2021.
That’s just the first episode, of course. Like other Marvel Studios shows (and other, non-Marvel Disney Plus originals), “Loki” will be released in weekly installments, just like a show on a cable network would be.
What will “Loki” be about?
Warning: Spoilers for past Marvel Studios films and shows follow, so don’t read on unless you’re caught up! We’ll also speculate a bit on what “Loki” might have in store, though we don’t have too many specifics on that front.
Thor frenemy and trickster god Loki met an unfortunate end in “Avengers: Infinity War,” but the wild time-traveling do-over in “Avengers: Endgame” brought him back into the land of the living. Last we heard from Loki, he had absconded with the Space Stone (one of the Infinity Stones). Where he's gone off to, nobody knows.
Tom Hiddleston will star as Loki, reprising the role that he played so well in the Thor and Avengers films. Hiddleston has said that the Loki of the upcoming series will have evolved following the traumatic events of the Avengers films. What Hiddleston means by that isn't totally clear, though, and all involved are mum on the details of the new series. Will Loki be repentant? Will he be angry? Will he feel lost? We'll just have to keep looking out for leaks and rumors between now and the series' big Disney Plus debut.
