Disney Plus started with a bang with “The Mandalorian.” The first-ever live-action Star Wars TV series was also Disney Plus’ first original series, and the show was an instant hit with longtime Star Wars fans and newcomers alike. If you haven’t caught up with “The Mandalorian” yet — or if you’re an established fan trying to find a way to watch the next season — you’ve come to the right place. Let’s talk about how to stream “The Mandalorian.”

How to Watch ‘The Mandalorian’ Online
This is the part of the “How to Watch” page where we would normally list all the ways to watch the thing in question, but — as you may already know — we’re in for a very short list. The Star Wars franchise is owned by Disney, and “The Mandalorian” streams exclusively on Disney’s streaming service, Disney Plus.
Stream The Mandalorian with Disney+
Free TrialYour one and only path to streaming “The Mandalorian” is — you guessed it — Disney Plus. Disney’s stand-alone streaming service is packed with Disney-owned content, including animated classics, Marvel Studios films, and, yes, Star Wars properties such as “The Mandalorian.”
Disney Plus fared well in our Disney Plus review, in large part because of strong original content like “The Mandalorian.” Disney Plus releases new episodes of its shows weekly, but you’ll still be able to binge-watch the two seasons “The Mandalorian” already has on the books. New episodes aren’t coming out at the moment, but the showrunners have promised another season.
Can I Watch ‘The Mandalorian’ on Roku, Fire TV, Apple TV, or Chromecast?

When Does ‘The Mandalorian’ Season Three Come Out?
“The Mandalorian” debuted in November 2019, but it was destined for more than just one season. After the stunning debut of Grogu (aka Baby Yoda), fans eagerly devoured new installments every week of season one and — a year or so later — every episode of season two.
But what about season three? “The Mandalorian” wrapped up some key storylines in season two, but that doesn’t mean a third season is off the table. Showrunner Jon Favreau has said there will be a third season of “The Mandalorian,” though perhaps not as soon as some fans hope.
Season three of “The Mandalorian” will reportedly go into production after the debut of “The Book of Boba Fett,” a live-action Star Wars show that is spinning off from “The Mandalorian.” “The Book of Boba Fett” is built around the character Boba Fett, who made his debut in the original Star Wars trilogy. (It was Boba Fett who first wore the famous Mandalorian armor that the titular character sports in “The Mandalorian.”) Since “The Book of Boba Fett” isn’t debuting until winter 2021, “The Mandalorian” is on track to debut no earlier than 2022. Considering the time it will take to produce new episodes, a Disney Plus debut late in 2022 seems most likely.
More to Stream for Star Wars Fans
Are you all caught up on “The Mandalorian” and looking for more Star Wars content to watch? That’s no problem. Your Disney Plus subscription is also your best bet for streaming Star Wars content of all kinds in addition to “The Mandalorian.” Disney Plus is the on-demand streaming home of all the Star Wars movies, from the original trilogy to the sequel films. Plus, Disney Plus has “The Clone Wars,” “Rebels,” and other classic spin-off series and films (Disney Plus even has “Lego Star Wars” content).
“The Mandalorian” won’t be the last Star Wars original to debut on Disney Plus either. Disney is planning a slew of new Star Wars shows, some of which have already debuted. Check out “The Bad Batch” or get hyped for the as-yet-unreleased shows still coming down the Disney pike!
I’ll watch it when it comes to Netflix, and not a moment sooner. I hate Disney so much for this.
We have subscribed twice to Disney+ and with no notice or any changes made by us, all we can see is animation. Disney+ support told me I must have done something wrong because absolutely no one else had called with the same complaint.
