Summer is known for having new seasons of our favorite shows, like “What We Do in the Shadows,” which aired its fifth season in July. Needless to say, we were excited to see what would be back on our screens this August. Hulu Plus Live TV has a show or movie for everyone, from creepy to heartwarming, and we’re ready to plunge right in.

‘Demons and Saviors’ Complete Docuseries — August 3
For those who remember the chilling case of Christina Boyer and the murder of her three-year-old daughter Amber, this three-part series, “Demons and Saviors,” needs to be on your watch list. A team of detectives looks into Christina’s past, her alleged telekinetic abilities, and the questions that have never been answered about Amber's death.
Find out why Christina, after 30 years in prison, still proclaims her innocence on August 3.
‘Only Murders in the Building’ Season 3 — August 8
Our favorite trio of podcasters is back for Season 3 — although they aren’t sticking to murders in the building. Bunny’s (Jayne Houdyshell) killer may have been caught, but in true crime thriller fashion, another has been committed, and Oliver (Martin Short), Charles (Steve Martin), and Mabel (Selena Gomez) are on the case. Audiences watched Ben’s (Paul Rudd) Broadway debut without realizing he truly died onstage.
Join these unexpectedly successful podcasters in Season 3 of “Only Murders in the Building” on August 8.
‘Solar Opposites’ Season 4 — August 14
From the creators of “Rick and Morty” comes “Solar Opposites,” a family of aliens who find themselves on Earth after their home, Schlorp, has been demolished. This family unit doesn’t always agree on whether or not they like their new home, but at least they have each other and Pupa (Sagan McMahan).
Season 4 of “Solar Opposites” airs on August 14.
New Season Premieres
‘Reservation Dogs’ Season 3 — August 2
Season 2 of “Reservation Dogs” wrapped up Daniel’s (Dalton Cramer) storyline, so fans have been curious as to what Season 3 will hold for Elora (Devery Jacobs), Bear (D’Pharaoh Woon-A-Tai), Cheese (Lane Factor), and Willie (Paulina Alexis). However, we know Season 3 is the last season for this insightful show, and with their highly set standards, we’re expecting a lot.
The final season of “Reservation Dogs” premieres on August 2.
‘Beach Hunters’ Complete Season 4 — August 15
If you enjoy watching HGTV in the background while doing household chores, you’ll be excited to know that the entire fourth season of “Beach Hunters” is coming to Hulu. It’s a typical house-hunting program where realtors show clients potential homes that fit their needs and budget but in beautiful beach locations. Enjoy traveling the coastlines without the chilly ocean wind.
The entire Season 4 of “Beach Hunters” will be streaming on August 15.
‘Cake Wars’ Complete Season 1 — August 15
Who doesn’t love cake? We’ll certainly be adding “Cake Wars” to our watch list. In each episode, bakers compete to have their designs featured at a party or social event. For instance, there’s a Super Marios Bros. video game-themed challenge, where the winner's cake is featured at a party celebrating Nintendo’s “Super Mario Maker.”
Indulge in some cake, without the calorie guilt, on August 15, when all of Season 1 of “Cake Wars” becomes available.
‘A Murder at the End of the World’ Series Premiere — August 29
This new FX show is a modern take on an age-old classic. Twelve guests arrive at a reclusive billionaire's retreat. In a remote location, with no outside help available, someone is murdered. With this familiar gothic setting and familiar plotline (anyone heard of “Clue?”), “A Murder at the End of the World” adds a twist; a Gen Z amateur detective must figure out whodunnit before more bodies drop.
Join us in finding out if FXs fresh take is successful, “A Murder at the End of the World” airs on August 29.
‘Archer’ Final Season Premiere — August 31
It feels like the end of an era to say “Archer” is coming to a close. Season 14 will be its last, and after a decade of watching these international spies blunder and screw each other, it almost feels like losing a friend. Don’t let the bittersweetness of it all hold you back from watching this dysfunctional team try to save the world.
The final season of “Archer” will premiere on August 31 with two back-to-back episodes.
